- 7075 Aluminum finished in a type 3 class 2 hardcoat anodize.
- No set screws, mounts like a muzzle device on a rifle.
- Designed around the FN factory threaded barrels (1/2 x 28) but will work with others that have the same threads. (Gap may vary)
1 x Shim Kit:
- 4 x 0.010″ Shim
- 2 x 0.005″ Shim
- 1 x 0.002″ Shim
- 1 x 0.05mL Vial Loctite 272

The PMM Compensator uses a proprietary mounting system much like what is found on all modern rifles utilizing a combination of shims and proper timing of the compensator in relation to the Pistol slide.
Additionally, the PMM compensators utilize a single port design at the 12 O’clock position which maximizes the effectiveness of the compensator in keeping the muzzle of the pistol down and allows the slide to “track” faster and more accurately for follow up shots.
During testing the PMM compensators were designed to work with most factory loaded ammunition but will yield the best results with a +P or Nato spec cartridge. We have adapted our designs to integrate with and complement the design of your pistol so no longer does a compensator have to look like an afterthought slapped on the end of your pistol, Rather it Delivers unmatched performance and looks.
Recoil Reduction:
The 509 duty comp was designed to work with most factory loaded ammunition and yields and average 30-35% reduction in muzzle climb with 115gr UMC

This is a great comp. I originally bought one for my 509 Tactical. It made an already shooting gun a greater shooting gun even better. The 509 has become what my old Glocks were to me, my go-to guns. FN actually listens to their customers and when we were asking for a 509 the same size as a Glock 19, they delivered and big time at that. I bought one the day they came out. Just like the bigger brother the full-size tactical, it is a great shooting gun too. Before I had even taken it to the range for the first time, I figure bought a threaded barrel and ordered a PMM comp during for I ever when shooting of the 509M. Due to the quality work, FN has done on the 509. I wasn’t worried in the least bit amount they would deliver something that didn’t It shoots just as nice as the full-size. I think it will be hard for me to ever go back to shooting without one. Whether your shooting competition or just having fun shooting at the range with friends. This attachment is a great value for what you get. It is designed well and looks like it would have come straight from the factory this way. FN made the 509 their best pistol available on the market.

I bought a 509 Tactical, 509 Compensator, and a Delta Point Pro all at the same time. I put them all together and have hit the range a few times already. After 300 rounds through this setup I haven’t had any malfunctions. Before picking up a tactical model, I tried a regular 509. It shot well, but it had a normal amount of muzzle flip. In comparison the tactical model with the 509 PMM Compensator was an extremely docile firearm. Once I dialed in the red dot, I had no issues ringing a 12′ steel gong at about 100 over, and over, and over etc.
Overall I am happy on how this compesator mitigates felt recoil, helps with follow up shots, and that it doesn’t affect the reliability of the firearm. Oh and it is good looking to boot!

I loved the product but ran into a problem…I shoot a lot and found that I am not able to remove my barrel from the gun to clean it with out removing the compensator.
