I have larger hands so adding the duty magwell enabled a much better grip/feel for me. Solid metal hardware – not plastic/polymer. I haven’t verified a rapid mag unload/loading to determine if the magwell provides better/faster timing. I do notice the 17 rd mags fit ultra flush – almost too flush – meaning you really have to force/push the mag up into the gun (yes, you should do this as a normal method anyways) to ensure positive engagement. I initially struggled with the stiffer o-ring installation, and immediately installed the softer version. Not difficult at all. Following the installation video, I had to slightly manipulate the softer o-ring into the correct orientation. I could see if someone was overly aggressive with it you could easily damage it.

I like the Maxwell only because its the only one out there… I just wish someone design it so a pin can be installed in it without a rubber o ring!! gees hire me i can design a way to put a pin within the back grip strap! either than that if feels great

Hands down some of the best aftermarket parts for a 509. Unbelievable fit for the duty mag well, and feels great. Would recommend all day.
