- 7075 Aluminum finished in a type 3 class 2 hardcoat anodize.
- No set screws, mounts like a muzzle device on a rifle.
- Designed around the FN factory threaded barrels (1/2 x 28) but will work with others that have the same threads. (Gap may vary)
1 x Shim Kit:
- 4 x 0.010″ Shim
- 2 x 0.005″ Shim
- 1 x 0.002″ Shim
- 1 x 0.05mL Vial Loctite 272

The PMM Compensator uses a proprietary mounting system much like what is found on all modern rifles utilizing a combination of shims and proper timing of the compensator in relation to the Pistol slide.
Additionally, the PMM compensators utilize a single port design at the 12 O’clock position which maximizes the effectiveness of the compensator in keeping the muzzle of the pistol down and allows the slide to “track” faster and more accurately for follow up shots.
During testing the PMM compensators were designed to work with most factory loaded ammunition but will yield the best results with a +P or Nato spec cartridge. We have adapted our designs to integrate with and complement the design of your pistol so no longer does a compensator have to look like an afterthought slapped on the end of your pistol, Rather it Delivers unmatched performance and looks.
Recoil Reduction:
The 509 duty comp was designed to work with most factory loaded ammunition and yields and average 30-35% reduction in muzzle climb with 115gr UMC

Perfect fit, works amazing, after installation I put 500 rounds down range and it didnt loosen up at all! I have always had issues with this happening with set screw comps. Not the case here. Great product!

Hi friends, I received the compensator and the part looks great in form and finish. I am still waiting for delivery of a threaded drop in barrel which I ordered from Apex Tactical so I have not yet been able to use the compensator.

I researched muzzle compensators before settling in the PMM model for my FN 509 tactical. I loved the fact that PMM had YouTube videos walking you through the installation process. Everything went smooth as glass when you follow their instructions. I couldn’t be happier with the look and ease of the installation. Great job PMM! One happy customer.

Overall I’m happy with the product. Noticeable difference in accuracy/handling after install. The only critique I have is with the fitting… with no shims it over rotated by just enough to keep the slide from cycling properly. With the smallest shim and an ungodly amount of tightening in the vice it was slightly under rotated, but on well enough to allow the slide to cycle reliably.
Unfortunately, there was not a slightly smaller shim in the kit to get the fit just right. It is also entirely possible that I am slightly handicapped and unable to follow the well laid out youtube instructions.
In summary – buy the compensator because it looks pretty and works well. Your Welcome.
