Installed on my Pro Series 9L CORE with a Apex threaded barrel. Very easy to install, runs 115s without a hiccup, and noticeably lessened muzzle flip.

Great piece of kit. Gun shoots waaaay flatter now. And the fit is clean and tight to the slide (M&P 4.25 gen 1/Ed Brown threaded barrel).

Easy install if you’re used to rifle comps (if not there’s a YouTube video) makes a huge difference in shooting, my M&P shoots much flatter and is back on target much faster. Also fast shipping, I have no regrets about this purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend PMM.

Great compensator. Install was a breeze (follow their YouTube tutorial). Gun shoots flat. Performs flawlessly with 115gr and 124gr ammo with Wolff guide rod and 13lbs recoil spring + RMR mounted on the slide. A dream to shoot; tight groupings are pretty effortless with it
The barrel you choose matters. I advise going with Ed Brown’s barrel. I have one for my full size frame 4.25” barrel model and everything fit without modification. Fully tightened comp is the perfect distance from the slide (about a paper width gap). I know someone with a Faxon barrel that had to get it modified by a gunsmith for proper fitment of the comp. I know another person with Apex’s Semi Fit barrel that needed to be shaved down at the locking lugs (as advertised) for proper fitment. Both builds function flawlessly after tens of thousands of rounds. But if you want a barrel to work out of the box without modification, Ed Brown’s worked for me

This is the way to go if you can’t get a quick detach comp. I rather have the comp secured by shims and pressure than relying on screws and loctite. I have a agency arms barrel and just like someone else mentioned on the review it does leave about a 1/8 gap but works great I love it my smith shoots so flat.
