- 7075 Aluminum finished in a type 3 class 2 hardcoat anodize.
- No set screws, mounts like a muzzle device on a rifle.
- Designed around the FN factory threaded barrels (1/2 x 28) but will work with others that have the same threads. (Gap may vary)
1 x Shim Kit:
- 4 x 0.010″ Shim
- 2 x 0.005″ Shim
- 1 x 0.002″ Shim
- 1 x 0.05mL Vial Loctite 272

The PMM Compensator uses a proprietary mounting system much like what is found on all modern rifles utilizing a combination of shims and proper timing of the compensator in relation to the Pistol slide.
Additionally, the PMM compensators utilize a single port design at the 12 O’clock position which maximizes the effectiveness of the compensator in keeping the muzzle of the pistol down and allows the slide to “track” faster and more accurately for follow up shots.
During testing the PMM compensators were designed to work with most factory loaded ammunition but will yield the best results with a +P or Nato spec cartridge. We have adapted our designs to integrate with and complement the design of your pistol so no longer does a compensator have to look like an afterthought slapped on the end of your pistol, Rather it Delivers unmatched performance and looks.
Recoil Reduction:
The 509 duty comp was designed to work with most factory loaded ammunition and yields and average 30-35% reduction in muzzle climb with 115gr UMC

The comp is everything they say it is. I’ve put about 2000 rounds through it already and no complaints. It’s an excellent product, and its a great add to my 509. Will be buying more for my other FN’s soon

Fits in perfect, comes with multiple different sized washers to get the perfect fit, love how it “Hugs” the sides of the upper receiver. Looks great too ????????????????

First time shooting my 509T with the PMM compensator, I had problems with some of the ammo I was using. Also, I was using the lighter yellow spring which came with the weapon. Magtech 124 FMJ was the only practice ammo that worked flawlessly. Fiocchi 115 and other lighter practice rounds produced multiple jams and failures to lock back. I fired 300 rounds of various practice rounds. My carry ammo is Gold Dot 124 gr HP + P and it ran flawlessly as well. I fired 100 rounds of it with no problem. I noticed a slight reduction in recoil with the Gold Dot ammo and hardly any with the practice ammo. It does look cool and I was able to shoot a bit faster using the Gold Dot ammo. Also, this comp is very well engineered and rugged. I would love to have one on my 43X which is a bit snappier than my 509T.

Nice compensator easy install but since I’ve put it on I’ve had miss feed issues so now I’m faced with taking it off to find out if it’s the compensator causing the issue. If I needed to upgrade the spring or something else to make the compensator work would have been nice to know.

In short, this compensator is awesome! Would 100% buy again and wish I could get another to put on my compact. I have never shot a compensated handgun and it made a noticeable difference. The shims took a little bit of time to figure out but outside of that installing the comp was quick and painless.
Switched to the yellow recoil spring and have zero failures using a multitude of ammo. If you’re on the fence just do it, you’ll be happy you did.
P.S outside the actual function of the comp it looks fantastic to boot
