By adding a 2″ of rail extension to their standard or SBR length SCAR 16 or 17, a shooter gains the much needed space to extend their support hand while still maintaining access to the SCAR’s gas block.
Our PRE matches seamlessly with the FN factory picatinny rails at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions.
The PRE has been machined in-house out of T6-6061 aluminum and then hardcoated per military standards. The PMM PRE is a low profile and lightweight solution to mounting mission essential accessories on the SCAR 16/17. PMM machined additional vent slots into all of the picatinny rails to lighten the PRE and also enhance the rifle’s ability to cool-down after sustained strings of fire.

I spent a frustrating 25 minutes trying to backout the T25 torx screw that holds the 9 O’clock rail to the lower barrel support, there was a ton of factory loctite holding in that little tiny screw. I chewed it up a little bit so it’s a good thing that pmm sells spares (I already ordered one). Other than that the installation was smooth. The PRE looks great and is good for mounting a flash light, the fit & finish was excellent as well. PMM definitely makes high quality products for sure.

Fits like a glove, and looks great. About 5 minutes to install, if that! Love the added rail length for my bipod without sacrificing foregrip length. Great with the 20″ barrel!
