Excellent product. Better than stock, and allows you to tune your gas. Makes the Scar 17 even more enjoyable to shoot.

Purchased this replacement gas jet off of PMM recommendations. After installing the 1.45 gas jet they recommended, I felt no difference in the recoil. Weapon still functioned in a suppressed setting. After researching on AR15.com FN Thread I found several people posted that gas jet size 1.30 to 1.35 are the optimal sizes for this weapon. After reading this I then ordered a 1.35 and a 1.30 gas jet. After a week long wait I finally got the gas jets and went to install the 1.30 (go small first) and found that it was out of specs. The gas jet was too long to fit because it hit the gas regulator. I then figured I would try to install the 1.35 and had the same issue. So I had to use metal file to file the gas jet to the correct length. Since both were out of specs I filed the 1.30 down and was able to install. I felt a significant difference in the recoil with the 1.30 gas jet and the weapon will not run on the suppressed setting unless you are using a suppressor. Fired 500 rounds without cleaning and I had no issues. Recommend saving time and shipping fees and staring with the 1.30 instead of working your way down from 1.45. Keep in mind you may need a metal file to get them into the proper specifications. **These modifications were on a FN SCAR 17 with a 16 inch barrel.
