I have a 10” barreled SCAR L and I first used a 1.7mm gas jet, but the bolt didn’t hold open on the last round, so I got the 1.8mm gas jet. The bolt stays open when the mag is empty and the recoil is still exceptionally low.

The best bang for buck for your scar rifle I used a 1.30 for scar 16 and shoots even smoother. Which is saying something since the scar has low recoil to begin with, I can easily shoot this one handed like a pistol if need be. All expeerince with pmm parts for the scar have been excellent. And the customer service is fast and one of the best in the business.

PMM is the gold standard for gas jets for the SCAR series. If you are looking to tune gas settings then these are it. PMM mentions the OEM sizes to compare to. For a 17S I would purchase 1.45-1.3. Having more gas jets is nice to make sure it’s tuned right.

Best solution to suppressing the SCAR. I am waiting on some smaller ones to be available for my 17 in 16″ as the 1.3 is still a bit much but I think the 1.25 0r 1.20 will be perfect on my Rugged Radiant 7.62. However, if you want to run the Omega 300 on a 16 with a 16″ barrel the 1.30 is perfect and felt like a cheat code. If you have any questions please just email PMM and they will steer you correctly. Also watch the infamous YouTube they did on suppressor back pressure. It is an amazing wealth of knowledge.
