The FN SCAR gas jets are notorious for being a stubborn part to remove– they require a specific size flat head screw driver and are often carbon locked into place. PMM’s SCAR Gas Jet Tool allow the removal of a factory gas jet as well as give you the tool to replace it with one of our custom size stainless gas jets.
Perfectly sized flat-head for factory jet removal
2.5mm hex head for installation of PMM gas jet
Wrench flats on either side to aid in the removal of a stuck jet
Quench & tempered 4140 pre-hardened steel for durability
Coated in heavy manganese phosphate
PMM Tutorial on how to use the PMM FN SCAR® Gas jet tool.
The below video is an older version of the way PMM recommends the removal of the Factory FN SCAR® Gas jet.
The screwdriver end bent very easily taking out the stock gas jet. Even after heat was applied. You can tell the tool is made from cheap mild steel. Opposite end works well with PMMs gas jets

The entire concept of the tool seems great, with the idea being that you can use a wrench/socket and put downwards pressure while removing the gas screw. Even with heat and penetrating oil, this tool broke during the first use rendering it pretty much useless for removing the factory SCAR gas screw.
I have reached out to see if this is something that could be warrantied but received no response.
